Congratulations to our July aide of the month. Talesha Irizarry has been working for Family & Children’s Service for more than two years. It was her goal to work with a mission-driven agency.

Before coming to work for FCS, Talesha spent many years working as a CNA for prominent nursing homes in the Monmouth County area.

Talesha was selected to be the July aide of the month for going above and beyond her duties. When asked what do you think the most important qualities of being a supportive aide are, she responded: “a lot of the seniors in the community are facing difficult times because of loneliness, I believe it’s important to be patient and respect other people’s struggles.”

She shared that many of her client’s families maintain full-time jobs. Home Care helps the families get a much-needed break from managing a career and being a primary caregiver.

Talesha would tell someone who was becoming a Supportive Aide, “It’s an amazing experience, and you learn a lot about your patience and how you can directly impact those in need.”

Thank you, Talesha, for all of your hard work.  Congratulations!
