Every Senior Deserves Dignity, Compassion and Respect – Your Year-End Gift Makes a Difference

As the year ends, we are reminded of the profound challenges facing low-income and disabled seniors in our community—and the critical role that compassionate supporters like you play in meeting these challenges.

Right now, hundreds of low-income seniors in our community are facing the cold months ahead with little more than hope. Fixed incomes, rising costs, and limited access to healthcare and transportation leave many isolated and struggling to meet basic needs like food, medication and heat. At FCS we work every day to help seniors age in place safely — because we know that staying in one’s home isn’t just about comfort; it’s about dignity and stability.

But the reality is harsh:

Rising utility costs leave many choosing between food and heat.

Costly home repairs go unaddressed, putting seniors at risk of injury.

Mobility issues and chronic illnesses make it hard to access groceries.

Limited income makes hiring help for cleaning, cooking, or bathing impossible.

Isolation becomes dangerous when there’s no one to check in.

Your year-end gift can directly impact the lives of some of our most vulnerable seniors. With your support, we can provide critical, home-based support services:

• A contribution of $50 can provide one week of groceries for a senior in need through our food insecurity program.

• A gift of $100 will support our In-Home Recreation program to provide regular check-ins to prevent loneliness and crisis.

• A donation of $250 funds Community Support Services to provide home safety upgrades—such as grab bars, wheelchair ramps, and bathroom modifications—
that can prevent falls and hospitalizations.

• A generous gift of $500 enables a month of an in-home aide for personal care.

Will you give today to support our programs and help low-income and disabled seniors age safely and independently in the comfort of their own home?

Together, we can build a community where all seniors are treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
