The Money Management Program is a volunteer-based free service for qualified lower-income seniors who need help managing and organizing their daily financial activities. Volunteers are screened, referenced, trained and individually matched with senior clients. All work performed by the volunteers is carefully monitored by Family & Children’s Service for the clients' protection.
Money management assistance includes:
- Writing out checks (for the client’s signature)
to pay bills
- Developing a budget
- Working with creditors to establish
payment plans
- Organizing mail
- Filling out forms
- Helping with applications for assistance programs
The Money Management Program is part of the AARP FOUNDATION, AARP’s
affiliated charity.
