Play Therapy Groups
Our Play Therapy Group is a proven and effective treatment for children ages 3 to 6
who may be having difficulty with:
- Tantrums or disobedience
- Shyness
- Mild delays
- Aggressiveness, hitting or biting
- Impulsivity
- Lying
Small groups of children participate in structured sessions consisting of sharing time and directed play therapy. The sessions incorporate all aspects of successful socialization and address their ability to follow instructions and properly recognize authority figures. Children also have free-play time, during which they are assisted in implementing their newly acquired skills.
While the children participate in play therapy, their parents meet to share issues and concerns, and discuss the techniques learned by their children. We work closely with parents, Day Care staff, and Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers
to help your child become a happy, self-confident little person.
